Searching One Pure-Strategy Nash Equilibrium Using a Distributed Computation Approach

چکیده
A distributed implementation of Dang’s FixedPoint algorithm is proposed for searching one Nash equilibrium of a finite n-person game in normal form. In this paper, the problem consists of two subproblems. One is changing the problem form to a mixed 0-1 linear programming form. This process is derived from applications of the properties of pure strategy and multilinear terms in the payoff function. The other subproblem is to solve the 0-1 linear programming generated in the former subproblem. A distributed computation network which is based on the Dang’s Fixed-Point method is built to solve this 0-1 linear programming. Numerical results show that this distributed computation network is effective to finding a pure-strategy Nash equilibrium of a finite n-person game in normal form and it can be easily extended to other NP-hard problems.

Vehicle Routing Problem in Competitive Environment: Two-Person Nonzero Sum Game Approach
Vehicle routing problem is one of the most important issues in transportation. Among VRP problems, the competitive VRP is more important because there is a tough competition between distributors and retailers. In this study we introduced new method for VRP in competitive environment. In these methods Two-Person Nonzero Sum games are defined to choose equilibrium solution. Therefore, revenue giv...

Nash [13] introduced the concept of Nash equilibria in non-cooperative games and proved that any game possesses at least one such equilibrium. A well-known algorithm for computing a Nash equilibrium of a 2-player game is the Lemke-Howson algorithm [11], however it has exponential worst-case running time in the number of available pure strategies [15]. Recently, Daskalakis et al [4] showed that ...
متن کاملComputation of Completely Mixed Equilibrium Payoffs in Bimatrix Games
Computing the (Nash) equilibrium payoffs in a given bimatrix game (i.e., a finite two-person game in strategic form) is a problem of considerable practical importance. One algorithm that can be used for this purpose is the Lemke-Howson algorithm (Lemke and Howson (1964); von Stengel (2002)), which is guaranteed to find one equilibrium. Another, more elementary, approach is to compute the equili...

This paper proposes a game-theory based approach in a multi–target searching using a multi-robot system in a dynamic environment. It is assumed that a rough priori probability map of the targets’ distribution within the environment is given. To consider the interaction between the robots, a dynamic-programming equation is proposed to estimate the utility function for each robot. Based on this u...
متن کاملNash equilibrium strategy in the deregulated power industry and comparing its lost welfare with Iran wholesale electricity market
With the increasing use of different types of auctions in market designing, modeling of participants’ behaviors to evaluate the market structure is one of the main discussions in the studies related to the deregulated power industries. In this article, we apply an approach of the optimal bidding behavior to the Iran wholesale electricity market as a restructured electric power industry and mode...
